Abstract: Ensuring a balance between economic development, human well-being and the needs of the environment is a major challenge of our time. Construction activities are among the main contributors to the greenhouse effect, high consumption of natural resources, production of a huge amount of waste and energy consumption during the life cycle of buildings, which suggests that the study of these activities is of utmost importance. The aim of the authors in this article is to analyze the existing knowledge and methodologies for integrated assessment of the entire life cycle (LCSA) of buildings, including environmental (LCA), economic (LCC) and social (S-LCA).
